Call me crazy, but I always thought the Rocky Mountains were West of Quebec.

Justin...I believe they are talking about the moving plate on the west coast by Vancouver and California...they say that they would be surprised that it would go as far east as the rockies...

    The guy's a champ...

P.E.I. Conservative Senator Mike Duffy said the massive chandeliers in the Senate began swaying and some senators hid under their desks. He said senators didnt realize what was going on and thoughts of a terrorist attack or a bomb crossed his mind.
I grabbed my laptop and my USB that had my speech on it, I grabbed that and put it into my pocket and I said Im getting the hell out of here, Duffy told The Guardian.

Thanks for the correction and the link. It was interesting listening to the broadcast from 1982. I hope we don't have any on PEI.

I remember an earthquake in the 80s' in Riverview NB. I was in my car ready to start it up to go to work. All of a sudden I thought I felt the whole back end of my car swerve to the right! It was summer and I was experiencing severe Sinus Headaches due to allergies. I thought Ouuu this is going to be a Sinus day and then some!

Then I saw my neighbours running of their houses! Some looking out their windows. I still didn't know what was going on. I got out to ask one of the neighbours and she said all the pictures on her walls fell down and her windows were rattling. I turned on the car radio to hear we had just experienced a 6.9 earthquake!

There wasn't any serious damage to any buildings thankfully but many people were startled and confused!

I was working in the General Hospital in the east end when the earthquake hit - there was a low rumbling sound, and then the building just started shaking for about fifteen seconds. No damage and no injuries, but still - what an experience!
There was a patient with a guide dog in the room with me and ten seconds before the earthquake the guide dog just started going nuts. I'd never quite known what to make of animals being sensitive to such things, but now I'm a believer.
