The Central AAA IcePak have been eliminated from the 2010 Atlantic Midget Female Hockey Championships.
With a trip to Sunday's bronze medal game on the line, the host girls dropped a 7-4 decision to Hockey Prince Edward Island Western Wind.
Three players tallied three points for the Western Wind, as Madeline MacIntyre, Michelle Penwarden and Emily MacRae each scored a single and added two helpers.
IcePak captain Demi Pelley scored a pair of goals, while Jade Rodriguez chipped in with two assists.
MacIntyre opened the scoring for the Western Wind, but Angela Mackey tied the contest before Natasha Rideout scored to give the IcePak its first lead of the tournament. Courtney Noye would later tie the contest, as both teams ended the first tied 2-2.
Pelley scored her first of two in the middle frame, with the assist going to Rodriguez, and the IcePak were 20 minutes away from advancing to the bronze medal game.
Pelley scored the first goal of the third just six minutes after the referee dropped the puck, and the IcePak had a 4-2 lead.
However, Penwarden scored consecutive goals to tie the game, and Sam Sweet scored what proved to be the game-winner a little later on. MacRae and Noye scored late to give the Western Wind a come-from-behind 7-4 win, and a trip to Sunday's bronze medal game.
Western Wind goalie Joanna Palmer stopped 43 of 47 shots for the win, while Brenda Jacobs made 16 saves in the loss.
