Hockey Nova Scotia Metro Boston Pizza improved to 2-0 at the 2010 Atlantic Midget Female Hockey Championships with a 6-1 victory over the host Central AAA IcePak.

HNS captain Moira Frier led the way with three goals and a helper, while IcePak alternate captain Angela Mackey replied for the host squad.

In front of a boisterous home crowd following a jubilant opening ceremonies, HNS scored five unassisted goals before Mackey put the IcePak on the board.

Alex Normore scored her fifth goal of the tournament in the opening period, which was followed by a Elena Tsitouras tally, as HNS took a 2-0 lead into the middle frame, where HNS's captain took over.

Frier opened the period with a goal, and followed it up with another, as HNS took a comfortable 4-0 lead into the final period.

Frier continued her offensive assault with her third-straight goal of the game, but before you could say shutout, Mackey put the IcePak on the board with her first of the tournament. Normore tallied her second of the game, and sixth of the tournament, before the final buzzer sounded, and HNS earned its second win of the tournament.
