BAIL HEARING — Ivan Curtis King was in court in Gander Thursday morning for a bail hearing. The Gambo man is charged with manslaughter in the death of Trinity resident Winston Hunt.

A Gambo man charged in the death of a Trinity, Bonavista Bay, man will find out Friday afternoon if he’ll await trial in custody.

Ivan Curtis King, 57, went before Judge Bruce Short Thursday morning for a bail hearing. There is a publication ban on evidence given, information received and any reasons for the judge’s decision.

The body of 58-year-old Winston Hunt was found inside a home in Trinity around 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 13. His body was later transported to St. John’s for an autopsy. Police have not released the cause of death.

Mr. King was arrested Jan. 20 without incident. He is under a court order prohibiting him from having contact with two individuals.
