A nation of sheep will begat a government of wolves. I read that somewhere, but I don't know where. But it's true. If we don't have the guts to stand up against a worthless government, then we are going to be eaten by a pack of wolves.
But again, some of the wolves can turn into coyotes. Look at what happened when it came to voting against the budget. Their leader, Michael Ignatieff, made our Federal MPs into a pack of fools. On national TV, he made it appear like they had to do what he said. It was strange, Scott Simms didn't speak up. I was hoping he would kick Mr. Ignatieff away from the cameras.
When you are elected by the people, you work for them. It's not what the leaders say; it is what the people want. If that Liberal leader in Ottawa wants to make himself look good, he should get out there and work for the people. He only makes himself small by riding on the shirttail of a Newfie.
I could have followed in the footsteps of Mike Duffy, and said he will never make himself look good by taking the Newfies to bed. But that is taking it to far. It is like Prime Minister Trudeau said years ago; a government has no business being in the bedroom of the nation.
It might not be exactly like that, but it is close.
Now, I said the comment Mr. Duffy made was taking it too far. But that is in the public eyes. Those stuffed shirts can't take a bit of humour. As for me, I laughed so hard my dam let go. I thought I was going to die from kidney failure like my poor late father. So Mr. Duffy, please come up with something else like that. We Newfies in the outports have a great sense of humour. We don't get to hear much humour now because John Crosby has gotten too old to talk, George Baker is jaw-locked and Andy Wells went into hiding.
It is nice to have something to laugh at when it comes to our government. We can rant and we can roar, and we still won't get anywhere. If we vote in another party, we would be just voting in another bunch of sleveens.
Now a sleveen is a Newfie word. It can mean just about anything, but nothing good when it comes to the government. Prime Minister Harper is a sleveen, or in plain English, no good. If he was any good he would have taken that budget and flung it in the garbage can.
Prime Minister Harper and his pack of wolves really came down hard on the small rural places. In order for New-Wes-Valley to get money from the federal wolves they have to come up with a certain amount of money themselves. Now that is just like something those con artists will do. According to what I heard, they will tell you that you won $50, 000 and request that you sent in $100 to cover the cost of operation.
Here in my community of Newtown, we are blessed with everything except water. When using it, it is just as dangerous as falling through the ice in the winter. My God, I got in the tub and took a bath. After I shampooed my head, I stuck it under the tap. I almost met St. Peter at the Golden Gate.
The smell nearly killed me. I was some lucky to get to the side of the tub. My head was whirling like a spin top. Know what? If they could put that smell in containers and use it for a weapon in the Middle East, the fighting would be over within minutes.
How can this problem be fixed? With the help of the federal wolves. But when New-Wes-Valley has to come up with money to help fixed it, it's not likely it will be done. I'm telling you, Prime Minister Harper and his crew came up with this cost-sharing program just to make it hard for the people of the outports.
This tax credits for home repairs is a laugh. First, to do repairs or renovations on a house you need money. If you have no money to spend, how can you get a tax credit? Now, I might not be a educated man, and I might be a little dumb, but I'm not stupid. That tax credit is just a scam. It is just something to make the wolves in Ottawa look good.
Hmmm, Premier Williams pulled the same thing with that baby bonus. Now, this proves that Prime Minister Harper and Premier Williams are tarred with the same brush.
Too foolish to talk about
For the people
