What's in a name

Too foolish to talk about -

There's a lot of stuff going on in this world that can make you wonder if there is a God. As for myself, I don't wonder about it because our Maker has his own way of doing things. I might not like some of the things he does, but there is not one thing I can do about it.

One of the things I didn't like was the death of that little girl down in the States. When Hurricane Bill was passing through, people were warned to stay away from the shoreline. Now here is the question I'd like answered; is God to be blame for her death, or was it the fault of her family for been careless? Or was it the way the older people used to put it, her number came up.

Since the day humans came on earth, the finger of blame had been pointed at one or another. While some blame other people other blame God. Nobody points the finger of blame at themselves.

I often wonder why did God makes people of different races and colours? Was He just putting the people to the test? It's a good way to do it because I've heard it all in my 64 years on Earth.

We are often called the Goofy Newfies. Now compared with some of the names other races been called, that doesn't amount to a hill of beans. But listen to some of the names I heard. Now they never earn those names like we earn ours. For no good reasons it was tag on them.

Now to give you an idea on how bad people are, just listen to those names. There was French Frogs, English dogs, Porky Pig, Jackatar, Black nigger and a lot more of those insulting names.

To me it is sickening. No race of people should have names like that. Now we can say an Albertan is a Newfie with his brains kicked out. Or we can say a person from Ontario is a Newfie who went broke on the way to Alberta. That is only in fun.

But you don't say Stupid Newfie. That would be an insult. Now there is enough smoking going on here, we could be called Puffins. And we bawl enough to be called a seagull, and because of our appetite, we could be called a Bawk.

And why call the people from Quebec, French Frogs? That don't make sense. The frog is a ugly looking reptile and the women of Quebec are good looking ladies. Now I don't know what to say about the men. After all, I admire the female not the male.

Hmmm, maybe we could call them the birds and the bees.

Now tell me, why call the people of England, English dogs. That's an insult to the people. Not only that. It is an insult to the dogs. If you use your thinking cap, you will wonder if God and the dog might be the same person. After all, if you spell God backward it will come out dog. Do the same with dog and it will come out God.

Porky Pig, now that not a good name for the wine-drinking Portuguese. And I don't think they like pork that well.

I'm telling you, there is nothing good about civilized people. They did more murder than the so-called savages. Look at Newfoundland's history. The Beothucks were wiped out. The early settlers even shot the woman.

I often wonder why didn't God make a world without borders. And why so many races? Why should one country try to walk over another? It been going on every since Cain killed Abel. And there is still no end in sight.

If the people were civilized they would take down all borders. Change the religions and only have one. And for God's sake if not our own, change our language so we can all talk the same. Then it be a perfect world.

When will it end? When will Canada and the Americans join to together and make one big country? The new name - Destiny.
