Fifteen air cadets from Atlantic Canada helped contribute to GFT flying over 1,100 hours, making it a record summer for its 25 years of operations.
Patrick White, president and CEO, says, “Employees at GFT are proud to have earned a reputation as a world class training center at a world class airport.”
GFT also has a contract with universities in Thailand to train students in Gander, plus students from other international countries, along with air cadets from across Atlantic Canada.
GFT, together with its sister company, EVAS Air, employs more than 225 workers in Newfoundland and Labrador and within the Atlantic Provinces.
Gander Flight Training and EVAS Air are owned by Patrick and Florence White.
