Over $400,000 in funding announced for medical equipment for the hospital and long-term care facility in New-Wes-Valley

Health and Community Services Minister Dr. John Haggie was at the Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre in New-Wes-Valley on Feb. 3 to announce funding for medical equipment for the health center and for Bonnews Lodge, the long-term care facility.

According to information supplied by the Department of Health and Community Services, the health centre will receive $195,000 for a bathing system and an emergency generator, while the long-term care facility will receive $232,000 for bathing systems, beds and a wheelchair bus.

This funding is part of the over $4 million previously announced for medical equipment for the Central Health Region in January.
