Central Health implements changes to services
The Beacon
Due to staffing challenges throughout Central Health, the health board has decided to implement a number of changes to the services it provides, beginning immediately.
Some patients scheduled to have elective surgery at the James Paton Regional Health Centre today have been notified their surgery has been cancelled.
Also, all enchocardiogram services at JPMRHC and Central Newfoundland Regional Health
Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor (inpatient and outpatient) have been temporarily
suspended until further notice. The health board said any clients affected by this change have been notified, and appointments will be rescheduled at the earliest possible date. Any emergeny echocardiograms will be referred to another health authority.
