Perchance produces and presents classical theatre with a focus on Shakespeare each summer in Cupids.
Making those tickets available came from the desire to give back to patients at the centre by Janet Edmonds, a professional actress of stage and screen who loved the theatre, but loved people and bringing them together more.
Edmonds was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 while she was performing as Shakespeare’s infamous Lady Macbeth. It was at that time she found out she had Stage 4 cancer.
She focussed her sights on living with cancer and wanted to inspire others to do the same.
Her performance was second to none as she soaked up the text and exuded her love of the play to the audiences who came out to see it.
That summer, thanks to the generosity of Mr. Rooter, Perchance was able to offer a free performance of the show for patients and staff of the Dr. H Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre. The idea being to give folks an opportunity to take their mind off their challenges even for a little while.
This year, there are 70 tickets available over the three days of the performances for patients, family, and staff.

To avail of those tickets, please just go to our website, click on the show of your choice and enter the code: LADYJANET to access the free tickets.
