ST. JOHN’S, NL – Some 200 Newfoundland men were held captive as prisoners of war during World War One.

Though some came from other groups, most of them were members of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment.

A presentation at the Rooms on Thursday, March 8, will shed light on their experiences, using first-person narratives, family letters, photographs, and post-war claims for pensions and reparations.

The presentation will also explore the international legal status of POWs under The Hague Conventions.

The event will be held in the The Rooms Theatre and starts at 2:30 p.m.
