Vancouver couple hiking The Great Trail

The Topsails Plateau is a stunning attraction for hikers, bikers, adventurers, spiritualists and walkers. Recently Simon Lanoix and Julie Chatelain of Vancouver walked into The Gaff, the former railway community, with their "wheelie," a two-wheeled version of a mono-walker, in tow. Lanoix and Chatelain have walked all over North America and Europe and promote their passion for walking wherever they roam. They completed a month-long hike in Utah before flying into St. John's on June 15 to hike the easternmost leg of The Great Trail, the Trans-Canada Trail system. The trip will take them into late fall to complete. Their journey can be followed through their online logbook at

The Topsails Plateau is a stunning attraction for hikers, bikers, adventurers, spiritualists and walkers.

Recently Simon Lanoix and Julie Chatelain of Vancouver walked into The Gaff, the former railway community, with their “wheelie,” a two-wheeled version of a mono-walker, in tow. Lanoix and Chatelain have walked all over North America and Europe and promote their passion for walking wherever they roam.
