CLARENVILLE, NL— A Clarenville man who is alleged to have used a computer system to lure a child and invite them to engage in a sexual activity has pled guilty to invitation to sexual touching.
Two other charges, including allegedly using a computer system to lure a child, as well as a breach of recognizance allegedly committed when the accused visited a classroom, have been conditionally withdrawn.
The accused will appear in Clarenville provincial court Jan. 31 for sentencing.
To protect the identify of the victim, the Packet has not identified the accused man.
The alleged incident is to have occurred in February of 2017.
