Mitchell Fudge suffers from mental health and addiction issues. His mother, Lisa has been struggling to get him proper help, even contacting the Dr. Phil Show.

In August 2015, Mitchell left the Waterford psychiatric hospital in St. John’s after being given privileges to browse the grounds of the facility.

Mitchell purchased alcohol and ended up encountering a group of people having an outdoor party, leading to a confrontation, leaving Mitchell brutally beaten. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary was involved, but no charges were laid against the assailants.

Now, Mitchell will be receiving treatment for mental health and addiction in British Columbia.

There will be a fundraiser for him at the Clarenville Legion on Friday, Mar 18, at 7 p.m. It is an evening of local entertainment, coffee, tea and desserts.

The fundraiser will be to raise money for Mitchell’s treatment.

To make a donation call Lisa Fudge at 1-709-466-4446, if not home, please leave a message. Or you can email money transfer to cecilandlisa@live.ca and use password: Mitchell.

Lisa wishes to thank all who have donated thus far.
