New truck on its way for public works department

STELLARTON - The Town of Stellarton public works department is getting a new one-ton truck.
The new vehicle will replace the 1991 Ford which was destroyed by fire on Jan. 14.
Town council voted at its recent committee of the whole meeting to pay for a new truck - estimated to cost $45,000 - out of its reserves and then put that money back into the reserve fund from next year's capital budget.
Council also authorized town engineer Tony Addis to tender the old truck for sale.

Destroyed by fire but Tony is going to tender it? HaHa!!! must be one born every day. Was there no insurance on this vehicle?I think the reserve fund is going to go broke with these clowns at the helm.
