GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR, NL – The St. Anthony Polars are the Atoms Mega Tier 3 provincial champions. The team was victorious in the tournament held in Grand Falls-Windsor on April 7.

After earning a 2-1 record in the round robin, the Polars squared off against the Clarenville Caribous in the finals.

Clarenville got out to an early lead in the first period but St. Anthony bounced back in the second period as Tyler Simms scored to tie it up. In the third, Sam Reardon put away the game-winning goal.

Goaltender Daniel McGrath shut the door for his team the rest of the way, stopping everything the Caribous threw at him to hold the 2-1 lead and win the gold medal.

The Placentia Lions and the Gander Flyers were also in this division.
