Fantasy Football Week 6 Breakdown – Who’s In and Who’s Out?

To set your fantasy football lineups and avoid starting an offensive player who isn’t in the lineup, we’ll be posting fantasy-related updates and analysis here as NFL teams release their official inactive lists. Any rankings quoted in this column are from us ESPN Fantasy Staff Rankings.

Official Sunday blackouts will begin approximately 90 minutes before the scheduled kickoff times: 8 a.m. ET for the London game, 11:30 a.m. ET for early games and 2:30 p.m. ET for afternoon games.

Impact: Laviska Shenold Jr. may have seen some gadget plays.

Rosen Johnson, RB, CHIoutside
Impact: With Khalil Herbert (ankle) now on IR, D’Onta Foreman gets a chance to handle lead back duties.

Travis Homer, RB, CHIoutside
Impact: Lost opportunity to get homer some touches. Darinton Evans will back up Foreman.

Dee Higgins, WR, CINActive
Impact: The Bengals will get knocked around in Week 7, so with Higgins active, he’ll be close to 100%.

Deshaun Watson, QB, CLEoutside
Impact: PJ Walker will start in Week 6, but we could see Dorian Thompson-Robinson at some point this week or Walker should struggle in future weeks.

David Njoku, TE, CLEActive
Impact: He played before last week’s break, so it’s no surprise he goes today.

Robert Woods, WR, HOUActive
Impact: He’s had some practice this week, so Woods could start alongside Nico Collins.

Tank Dell, WR, HOUinactive
Impact: Noah Brown can activate from IR and take Dell’s share of the snap.

Jay Jones, WR, JAXoutside
Impact: The Jaguars will rely heavily on the duo of Christian Kirk and Calvin Ridley.

Jeff Wilson Jr., RB, MIAoutside
Impact: There was talk of him being activated from IR this week, but it looks like he’s not ready. Salvon Ahmed should once again support Raheem Mostert.

Chase Claypool, WR, MIAinactive
Impact: Apparently, Miami isn’t ready to send the recently acquired receiver into game action.

Juwan Johnson, TE, no.outside
Impact: Once again, the tandem of Jimmy Graham and Foster Morrow will get his share of targets.

Elijah Mitchell, RB, SFActive
Impact: Jordan Mason could be in line for a few more backup touches.


4pm ET games

Marquis Brown, WR, ARIquestionable
Impact: Even though he’s dealing with an illness this week, he’s still been able to practice. Signs to start on Sunday.

Sam Laporta, TE, DETquestionable
Impact: He practiced Friday and says he’s excited to play Sunday. He looks like a game time caller.

Jahmir Gibbs, RB, DEToutside
Impact: David Montgomery could handle 20 touches in Detroit’s backfield.

JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, NEoutside
Impact: Tyquan Thornton was activated from IR to join the huddle in 3-WR sets.


Sunday night game

Dawson Knox, TE, BUFquestionable
Impact: He practiced in limited fashion all week and is building towards a start, which is good news…

Dalton Kincaid, TE, BUFquestionable
Impact: … Kincaid has yet to clear the league’s concussion protocol, so his Sunday is currently on hold.

Daniel Jones, QB, NYGoutside
Impact: Tyrod Taylor is under center for the Giants this week, so lower your expectations.

Saquon Barkley, RB, NYGquestionable
Impact: He’s been training this week and finally seems ready for action again.

Darren Waller, TE, NYGquestionable
Impact: Assuming he plays, he could be Taylor’s preferred target.


9:30 a.m. ET

Keaton Mitchell, RB, BALActive
Impact: The rookie has been training all week in anticipation of joining Justice Hill in backing up Gus Edwards.

Traylon Burks, WR, TENoutside
Impact: Nick Westbrook-Egain will get a bump in value, but DeAndre Hopkins is still the Titans’ best WR option.
